House Bill 1208: CONCERNING JUVENILES AGAINST WHOM CHARGES ARE DIRECTLY FILED AGAINST IN DISTRICT COURT
Background
Under current Colorado law, a district attorney has the power to charge a juvenile as young as 14 years old as an adult for certain crimes. This is known as “direct file”.
